Database Administrator (DBA)

The Database Administrator is responsible for the development and operational support of Paragon's database solutions.

Roles and Responsibilities

• The DBA works closely with the Infrastructure Architect in ensuring that the applications data architecture is complete and meets the client's expectations/needs.
• Provide definition, performance tuning, backup and recovery.
• Implement and maintain the Database Management System in a startup and operational environment.
• Support multiple testing environments.
• Manage database change in a multi-server, threaded environment.
• Additional responsibilities may include:
  • Data warehousing architecture
  • Data modeling
  • Infrastructure planning and development
  • Design, create and manage databases.
